Javier Bardem, a gorgeous talent

Javier Bardem might be a new face to you, but this sexy Spaniard is not new to the show business. Coming from a lineage of actors, Javier made his film debut at age six in El Pícaro and acted in several TV series as a teenager. In 1992, he played a stud in the black comedy Jamón, jamón, becoming one of the most popular actors in Spain.

Unlike his colleague Antonio Banderas, who also made the crossover into Hollywood film, Bardem has wisely turned down roles that would type cast him as a brawny sex symbol, and in contrast, he has interpreted tough, heavy roles that have gained him recognition from both critic and audience. He plays a homosexual who survived censorship, imprisonment and intolerance for the privilege to write freely in Before the Night Falls (2000), and most recently won an Oscar for his outstanding performance as a freakishly evil psychopath in No Country for old men (2007).


This year we will see Javier starring along girlfriend Penelope Cruz and Woody Allen's new muse Scarlett Johanson in the director's new film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, the story of a painter who enters a relationship with two American tourists and conflict begins with the painter's jealous ex-girlfriend.

Justin Timberlake SPEEDO!

Justin Timberlake plays a hockey player known for his "big stick" in the comedy The Love Guru (2008), opposite Mike Myers and Jessica Alba. In the movie, Pitka (Myers) an American raised outside of his country by gurus, returns to the States in order to break into the self-help business. His first challenge: To settle the romantic troubles and subsequent professional skid of a star hockey player whose wife left him for a rival athlete.

In one scene, Timberlake wears a revealing speedo that leaves little to imagination...

Will Chalker

The reason why I like Gael Garcia is because he IS a real actor, with an impeccable resume, who has never played the hollywood game and was a cutie even as a little kid. When he was 14, Gael starred the mexican telenovela"El Abuelo y Yo (1992) and even then you could foresee he was gonna be a big star. In 2007 he was named one of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars in the world by Empire Magazine, and we couldn´t agree more.

This sexy mexican stud studied acting in London and in a relatively short career, he has worked with top actors like Brad Pitt and Kate Blanchet in Babel (2006) and directors Alfonso Cuaron and Pedro Almodovar, starring films around the world in his native language spanish, english and french.

His big break through came with the mexican film Amores Perros (2000), but it was the internationally acclaimed Y tu mamá tambien, a road movie about two teenager friends ruled by raging hormones that take their friendship to the limit in a rush into adulthood, that gave him world recognition.

His only downside, in my opinion, is that he tries just too hard to come across as a left winged intellectual every time he opens his mouth in an interview. Ok, we get it... you are not just a pretty face.

In 2009, we will see him starring Pedro Paramo, based on the 1955 novel by Juan Rulfo.

Joseph Sayers

How may times have we heard the story of actors, singers or models that once becoming famous, their secret past comes up to the surface to haunt them? This happened to model Joseph Sayer, a stunning male beauty who posed nude for a photographer when he was just 18 years old, and who almost saw his reputation tainted when the nasty pictures appeared all over the internet when he reached a certain status as a model for important campaigns such as Abercrombie and Fitch and Polo Underwear.

What can I say? I´m just one more fan of David Beckham´s great looks. It´s funny, at first I didn´t fall into the whole football super star thing, but as the years passed and I became more and more exposed to this hottie, I finally fell for him... I guess his Armani underwear ad didn´t help either...

Brothers and Sisters

Brothers and Sisters is nowadays one of the best drama series on TV. The show depicts the relationships of an unconventional high class family in the United States. Unconventional because the traditional concept of the family in the US is that of a disintegrated, self centered and weakly connected nucleus, and in Brothers and Sisters we see a more old fashioned family, truly bonded and deeply concerned for each other.

Probably the biggest asset of the show is its ensemble of great actors. In every episode, the cast that includes TV stars such as Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) and Rob Lowe (The West Wing) , surprises us with stunning acting. Matthew Rhys plays a (thank God) non-stereotyped gay lawyer that struggles on finding the true love, and Sally Field (ER) is superb as the widowed mother of 5 young adults that strive in their everyday search for happiness.

The stories in Brothers and Sisters may not be as idealistically romantic as Grey´s Anatomy or as complicated as Desperate Housewives or as crazy as Nip/Tuck. Moreover, it´s technique is certainly not nearly as sophisticated as 24 or Dexter, but the simplicity of Brothers and Sisters is what makes it great. It´s quality relies in it´s heart. Real life situations, real life emotions, real life characters. Here we see the reality of the human nature when it comes to the issues that we experience with our beloved ones.

In addition to all this, Brothers and Sisters is the platform that propelled super hottie Dave Annabel´s career into the major leagues, playing Justin Walker, the troubled little brother in a role that makes you fall in love with him.

If you want to watch a TV show about simple everyday issues with great acting and magnificent direction, this is the show for you.
